In nuclear energy: material designated by the PhilATOM as being subject to regulatory control because of its radioactivity, such as, but not limited to: (1) a radioactive source; (2) nuclear material; (3) a substance that is capable of releasing nuclear energy or is required for the production or use of nuclear energy; (4) a radioactive by-product of the development, production or use of nuclear energy; and (5) any other material that the PhilATOM determines to be classified as radioactive material [Section 5(ii), Philippine National Nuclear Energy Safety Act of 2025]
