In carbon markets: a tradeable certificate representing one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) of GHG emissions reduced or removed from the atmosphere through the implementation of a Mitigation Activity, verified as real and additional by accredited independent third-party entities using internationally accepted standards and methodologies.
